La Thuile
La Thuile is a small and authentic mountain village in the Piccolo San Bernardo valley, between the Rutor massif, the Grand Assaly pyramid, and the Mont Blanc chain, with stone and wooden houses and the characteristic “losa” roofs. Situated at 1441 meters above sea level, it is a destination with an internationally renowned sporting vocation, the perfect starting point for excursions. It walks in the woods, green meadows, and uncontaminated nature during the summer season, and the best to be found in winter for its 152 kilometers of slopes and a ski area, the Espace San Bernardo, which crosses over into France and connects the town of Valle d’Aosta with Val d’Isére. With a population of 791 spread over 11 hamlets and a density of just over six inhabitants per square kilometer, La Thuile is the wild side of Mont Blanc that allows you to get back in touch with powerful nature, an environment of wild and uncontaminated beauty.
